ABOUT DMC
Die & Mould China (DMC) was established in 1986 by China Die and Mould Industry Association andShanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd.
It has been promoting the development of China's Die & Mould Industry for over 30 years and had successfully held 18 sessions of exhibition.
It acquired the certification as a UFI APPROVED EVENT since 1996 which is the first event to win this honor in the city of Shanghai.
DMC was guided & supported by the Ministry of Commerce of China from 2014 to 2016(Phased Projects of the Ministry of Commerce of China).

China Die and Mould Industry Association (CDMIA for short) was founded in October 1984. It is a nationwide, industry-based and non-profit social organization with 1500 voluntary group members, mainly consisting of die and mould manufacturing companies, relevant industry enterprises, research institutes, universities & colleges and the regional die and mould associations all across China.

Founded in 1984, Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC), a subsidiary of CCPIT Shanghai Sub-Council, is the first and largest international trade fair organizer in Shanghai.

Current situation of mould industry
According to the statistics in 2017, the 243.3 billion of mould consumption in China supports the manufacturing industry of 27 trillion yuan. The metal products made by mould forming technique(equivalent manufacturing) were about 80 million tons, which is equal to the number of the products made by cutting processing (subtractive manufacturing); and about 75 million tons of plastic products and 6 million tons of rubber products, almost all of which are made by mould forming technique; moulds guarantee the lightweight technological equipment, is the carrier of realization of mass production and engineering, can replace steel with light metal, replace wood with plastic, replace metal with plastic. Moulds also play an important role in the manufacturing fields of substitution of plating process (green manufacturing), composite material forming, etc., providing the forming technology and equipment with control of properties and forming for the diversification of consumption. While meeting the demand of China's mould market, mould exports in 2017 reached 5.49 billion US dollars, and mould products have exported to over 200 countries and regions. China's moulds has moved from the edge of the world stage to the center stage in the world, become the world's largest mould manufacturing and trading country.

In 2017, automobile production and sales in China reached 29.02 and 28.88 million units respectively, ranking first in the world for nine consecutive years. The number of automobile engines in China increased by 17.91% year-on-year; automobile production and sales in China continued to increase in the first half of 2018.
In 2017, the overall scale of China's electronic information industry above designated size reached 18.5 trillion yuan. In 2016 and 2017, China's new and high-tech industries and strategic emerging industries continued to maintain double-digit growth: smart TVs increased by 47.1%, and annual production volume of smartphones reached 1.4 billion units. Huawei, OPPO, Xiaomi and vivo have ranked among the top six in smartphone shipment volume in the world, with production volume of smartphones growing by 31.7% and production volume of optoelectronic devices growing by 21.5%.
90% of home appliance parts (worth about 1.4 trillion yuan) in the household appliance industry are made by moulds, and the demands for individuation manufacturing in modern life have forced the application of new technologies such as inner mould transfer print. The annual demand for molds has amounted to 15 billion to 17 billion yuan.
